Welcome to

The Great Harbor

San Pedro to Long Beach

This show features the works of
Bernard Fallon, Timothy Geisen,
Stephen Mirich & Jacques Valin.

Their common interest in industry and maritime genre, a respect for traditional art and their passion for painting en plein air (on location) have brought them together to create this exhibition. They take their inspiration from one of the greatest harbors in the world and show us a contemporary glimpse into its everyday goings-on.

Early California Plein Air Impressionists, Franz Bischoff (1864 - 1929), Donna Shuster (1883 - 1953), Sam Hyde Harris (1889 - 1977), Duncan Gleason (1881 - 1957) and others, frequented the harbor in its early years. Their paintings have provided us with a pictorial look into the past.

It is in this tradition of painting en plein air that these artists share their visual interpretations with us and for generations to come.

The exhibition will run from
