| It was the edge of daylight when I arrived at the Irving Johnson to find a group of rescuers assembling on the beach. Lines were being led out to a tug boat for an attempt to pull the boat off the beach at the nearing high tide. I set up my easel in the howling wind and last flicker of daylight to sketch the scene. |
